DOUBLE DOUBLE Q!
MHDPC AKC Trial - Vancouver, WA
November 15-16th, 2008
London and Tammy had a fabulous time at Nationals, which meant that, amazingly, I was running my OWN dog this weekend! We hadn't run together since back in June, so it was quite the adjustment. I didn't expect much, our practice beforehand had been wild and crazy, so I was downright shocked when we came home with 2 double Qs. I guess it's like riding a bicycle, you never forget! I've really missed running my Buns, he has so much fun and the crazy barking just makes me smile. Booger power!

READY FOR NATIONALS!
CAT USDAA NW Cup - Vancouver, WA
October 11-12th, 2008
Next stop is Arizona for London and Tammy the end of the month. They looked ready for nationals this weekend, it was a great trial run! This will be London's 2nd visit to nationals, he got to tag along with Fenwick when he was young - I expect he'll have just as much fun as he did before. Look out Arizona, here he comes!

ANOTHER QQ for TAMMY & the BUN!
Portland Agility Club - Vancouver, WA
September 20-21st, 2008
Tammy and London do it again - double Q number 16! Another great weekend for these two, coming home with two first place standard run and a 2nd place jumpers run at 6.16 yps. They're so much fun to watch! I'll admit, I love watching my dog run, what can I say. Tammy and London have just one more trial before nationals, but they look more than ready!

Tammy and London continue their road to USDAA nationals by getting some more trial experience down in Eugene. They came home with a double Q and a better understanding of each other. November is right around the corner and one more trial for them together before the big event - go Team Tammy n' London!

LONDON the SEMIFINALIST!
USDAA SW Regional Championships - Prunedale, CA
August 30-31st, 2008
Tammy and London had their nationals preview, traveling down to California to the SW Regional. They were only there for two days, but they did great - coming home with multiple placements in both team and standard classes and a semifinals bye in the Grand Prix. They have a couple more trials before they head down to Scottsdale, AZ for USDAA Nationals together - go Team London & Tammy!

1st PLACE NW REGIONALS TEAM GAMBLERS
USDAA NW Regional Championships- Canby, OR
June 27-29th, 2008
What is WITH the weather this year? We went straight from the 50s-60s to 104 for the regional this year. 104. That is INSANE. Talk about a bizarre weekend! Luckily London seems to do pretty well in the the heat, and even managed to keep all but one bar up for all three days. I was impressed - I could barely move!
Friday was our best day, it wasn't as hot and I could still function. 2nd in team standard, 1st in team gamblers, 6th for team jumpers and had a great snooker run too! He even kept his head running after Nova in relay, and the Supertastic Uber Fun Team of Ultimate Agility came away qualifying despite Barb injuring her ankle.
London got around this weekend! Kate Moureaux handled him in steeplechase and masters jumpers (too hot for me!), which was really fun to watch. Unfortunately London was suddenly struck by a weave issue for Sat/Sun and was popping out all over the place. Could it by going from 24 inch spacing to what looked like less then 20? The heat? Physical issue? Hard to say. Tammy also ran him in the grand prix finals, where a little bobble caused a refusal in an otherwise lovely run.
London was only entered sparingly throughout the weekend, which I was thankful for. We always have a lot of fun ... just wish it had been cooler!

OUCHIE LONDON
PAC AKC Trial- Canby, OR
June 14-15th, 2008
So earlier in the week London was out running around, yelped and was limping on his front right. Oh noes! So he had a quiet week to let him rest as we couldn't find anything specific going on, but showed no more signs of limping since Tuesday.
After London cleared inspection on Saturday I ran him in Standard and while he didn't show any specific signs of still being sore, he knocked two bars, and not just little knocks either. So I pulled him from jumpers, rested him again and then Sunday morning warmed him up three ways to Tuesday, took the practice jump from every angle and speed, and didn't see anything off at all. Naturally, I then sent him offcourse right off the bat for that run, but he looked just fine, so I relaxed.
I actually relaxed TOO much for jumpers, really wasn't focused for his jumpers run, missed a jump, but he seemed fine, not his fault as all! Then we played and played after the trial with the beautiful summer weather ... and he was limping on his front right when we got home! Ack, he really WAS hurt - I felt awful! But on closer examination he had a really weird slice on his front right pad more sideways, so it was difficult to see unless the big flap was hanging off, as now it was. So hopefully mystery solved, the flap cut off and the foot is healing.
So not our finest weekend, but I was glad to find the source of the limp! We are VERY excited to go play at the regional in a couple weeks, I think his foot should be totally healed by then.

OUTDOOR LONDON!
GSCDA AKC Trial - Canby, OR
May 31st, 2008
Outdoor agility is a rare thing in Oregon, and after scratching the dogs on Sunday because of the wet rainy conditions it was obvious why! We had a great time on Saturday though, London had two lovely runs, he doesn't care where we do agility. London knocked a bar in his jumpers run, so another no double Q, but no complaints. I know he tries his very hardest!

LONDON on VACATION!
McKenzie Dog Fanciers AKC Trial - Eugene, OR
May 23-26th, 2008
London got to go on an agility vacation with Tammy down to the Eugene trial - coming home with double Q number 14! They had some lovely runs ... and London certainly had some FUN runs as well. ;-) He did great with the Moody dog crew, and enjoyed his vacation thoroughly! I'm sure it won't be his last Moody vacation experience.

LONDON the SNOOKERMASTER
Fleet Feet USDAA DAM Team Trial - Turner, OR
May 17-18th, 2008
London was a trooper, handling our weird sudden Spring heatwave like a champ. We went straight from the 50's to the mid-90's! What on earth is that about? So that made for one very HOT weekend ... but London the Water Dog was loving all the swimming pools and hoses - almost as much as the agility!
London's team, Supertastic Uber Fun Team of Ultimate Agility Power, with Emma and Nova were FABULOUS. It was a great totally no pressure, just for fun team. And we did pretty well! Uh, until London went offcourse in the relay. Whoops. Still, London did great, 1st in snooker, 2nd in standard, 4th in jumpers and 4th in gamblers too. Came in 2nd in the Grand Prix as well - what a good boy! And not one knocked bar - wow!
So our team ended up qualifying and London is now completely qualified for nationals ... not that we're going, but hey.

LUCKY NUMBER 13!
American Whippet Club AKC Trial - Albany, OR
April 19- 21st, 2008
Crazy weather for this trial, huge hail, snowstorms, thunder and all - is this the end of April or what? London didn't mind at all and had some great runs. His standard run was the fastest of all heights on Saturday, and came home with his 13th double Q as well. Sunday we had, a-hem, "handler issues", but he did fabulous. A fun trial!

BACK TO USDAA!
RAT USDAA Trial - Elma, WA
April 12-13th, 2008
USDAA trials are LONG, and oh so many runs! I had to bring in the backup handlers, with Tammy running London for several runs on Sunday and Daisy taking over snooker. London did fabulous, he is always ready for action. He ended up winning both standard runs, jumpers and pairs, qualifying in snooker with Daisy and also made it into the 2nd round of Steeplechase. A very fun, but tiring, weekend!

ANOTHER DOUBLE Q!
PAC AKC Trial - Canby, OR
March 22-23rd, 2008
Oh my god, I was actually running my own dog again! I seemed to be really freaking people out by loaning out the London, so I set some minds at ease this weekend. London and I had a great time! He got another double Q towards his MACH and yet another ALMOST double Q towards his MOCK2 (comprised of double Qs lost because of one knocked bar in one class or the other!). No worries though, he was an exceptionally good boy and we had a blast. Tammy will run him at his next trial in April - so back to freaking people out!

The LONDON-DAWN CONNECTION
CRAC AKC Trial - Albany, OR
March 14-16th, 2008
London is really getting around these days! Dawn was coming all the way up from Southern Oregon with no dog to run, so London stepped in to fill the gap. They did fantastic - especially as they had never run together at all. They even got a double Q on Saturday! London was clearly having a great time, and they made a great team.

TAMMY + LONDON = EXCELLENCE!
WAG USDAA Trial - Corvallis, OR
March 8th, 2008
Tammy very kindly came all the way down to Corvallis to run London in this show for me while I focused on the other dogs. London and Tammy are an unstoppable team, qualifying in all 4 runs and winning Masters standard and Masters gamblers. They looked just fabulous together as usual - this will not be the last time these two are paired together!

LOANER LONDON
Mt. Hood Doberman Club- Portland, OR
February 2-3rd, 2008
London got to hit the agility courses with some new handlers for his jumpers runs this weekend (as I was having fun focusing on Fenwick for his AKC novice debut). We did have a nice standard run on Saturday, but dropped a bar. Our standard run on Sunday was pretty darn funny as we got through a whole two and a half obstacles as London decided to whip around and go back up the dogwalk for some reason. It was very cute!
London ran with Barb Persson on Saturday for the first time and they had fun testing each other out. Then London got to run with Tammy on Sunday and had a lovely run with an unfortunate off course right at the end. London enjoyed all the attention and was so happy to have Fenwick at a trial again he ripped a hole in his new crate.

ROSE CITY CLASSIC
Tualatin Kennel Club - Portland, OR
January 18-21st, 2008
What a crazy trial this is! The crowds of people are insane, but also make for an exciting atmosphere that combined with all the talented fast dogs really gets London going.
We had an amazing weekend, the matted surface was wonderful for both of us to run on and London only knocked ONE bar all weekend! Well. if you don't count the tire. Unfortunately, London had a terrifying tire crash at the beginning of his ISC Standard run on Saturday. Luckily he came through without an injury and I did end up running him the next day. But while he looked great, I was still shaken and I even got lost on course (that never happens to me!).
We pulled together for the last day of the trial and had two more fabulous runs to leave on a more positive note. If it wasn't for that bar we would have come home with three double Qs! But I'll take two, no complaints.

NO BARS LONDONPANTS?
PAC AKC Trial - Vancouver, WA
January 5-6th, 2008
I'm trying to think of the last time we had a trial and London didn't knock at least one bar, but it's been a while! London it did it this weekend though, qualifying in 3 out of 4 runs, and NQ was NOT bar related - shocking! So London's 8th double Q and one very fun weekend despite the soggy, wintery weather. I'm very proud of the Bun!

FIRST DOUBLE Q for 2008!
Boston Terrier Club AKC Trial - Elma, WA
December 29th-31st, 2007
London took some time off from trialing and classes for the NW Agility League this winter. His team ("ThunderCATS - Ho!") ended up a respectable 18th and we had a lot of fun. However, we were quite rusty for the first couple days of this trial! I just didn't have my head in the right place, London knocked four bars the first day - we were a mess. So I finally pulled myself together and we got back in tune with each other and finished with a really nice double Q on Monday - now that's more like it!
Hopefully we'll get back in the groove for our January trials and I look forward to a fabulously fun 2008!
