BRISBEE WINS the NW AGILITY LEAGUE
ALL UR QQ R BELONG 2 US
Winter 2007
After Brisbee's almost last place finish in agility league in at 2006, Bruce was determined to come up in the rankings for 2007. So ALL UR QQ R BELONG 2 US (Bruce named the team) was born: Fenwick & Heather, Brisbee & Bruce, Max & Bonnie, and Zorro & Mary Lynn. This dream team of dogs dominated the competition for seven weeks and came out in first place - go QQs!
It should be noted that each team gets to throw out the lowest score every week. ;-)

BRISBEE'S FIRST WEEKEND IN ADVANCED!
Black CAT USDAA Trial - Vancouver, WA
October 13-14th, 2007
Brisbee's first full weekend of Advanced classes (or actually PII, if you want to be precise!). He was all over the map! We had Zoomy Brisbee, Distracted Brisbee, Focused Brisbee, Refusal Brisbee, Fast Brisbee, Slow Brisbee, Flying Over Contacts Brisbee, Weave Poppin' Brisbee, as well as Speedy Weavin' Brisbee and his cousin, Yes, I Really Can Do Contacts Brisbee ... it was his most inconsistant trial yet! For two of his runs he saw one of our own dogs outside the ring before his runs, and spent both runs looking for the other dogs. That was a new one!
Then Brisbee REALLY mixed it up and goes and does a gamble that I NEVER thought he would do, requiring him to turn away from the handler 180 degrees out to a jump ... and he just does it like it was no big deal. Brisbee gets an advanced gamble first time out - how does THAT work?
Anyway, so he surprised me every run, and in the end came home with standard, jumpers and gamblers Qs and two 2nd places - a lot better performance than I had expected! Actually, sort of scary to think if he keeps up that kind of Q rate he might actually MAKE it to Masters some day - yikes!
Good thing he doesn't trial much! ;-) But Brisbee will be happy to be back with Bruce again as they're doing NW Agility League again this winter, so that should be fun!

PERFORMANCE DOG BRISBEE!
USDAA NW Regionals - Canby, OR
June 30th-July 2nd, 2007
I really honestly never thought I would see the day that Brisbee got his novice title in USDAA. 12 weaves, a teeter AND a table - and let us not forget Gamblers - ha! But he proved me wrong this weekend, finishing off his PD1 title in style at the NW Regionals with a 1st place win in his standard run. Pinch me, I can't believe it! I'm so proud of my little white weenie, for him to come to THIS trial, the biggiest trial of the year, OUTDOORS and everything and still want to do agility ... just amazing. Perhaps not the biggest accomplishment to some people, but for Brisbee this is HUGE!
Brisbee also had his first advanced jumpers run ... which would have gone better if I hadn't gotten lost! Oh well, once we got on track he was really moving and having a good time - no complaints! We'll enter Brisbee in his first official Advanced trial this fall. I'll say now that Brisbee will probably never get his advanced titles ... but he's proved me wrong before! As long as he's having fun, I don't mind at all.

BRISBEE WINS JUMPERS
RAT USDAA Trial - Elma, WA
April 14-15th, 2007
Earlier in April Brisbee had attended one day of a USDAA trial in Corvallis ... which was a disaster. However, I wasn't in the best of moods that day, so I wanted to a chance to make it up to him. I brought him up to Elma entered in just three runs with no expectations, just a plan for Brisbee to have a real good time no matter what. Brisbee improved each run, earned another P1 standard leg with third place, and then had the run of his LIFE in jumpers at the very last class of the trial. Brisbee just FLEW like I'd never seen him before we a FLAWLESS run to win the class and finish his PJ1 title! I was so proud of him! Knock on wood we continue to see more of THAT Brisbee on course!

AGILITY BRISBEE RETURNS
Qualfies in 6 out of 8 Runs!
Fleet Feet CPE Trial - Turner, OR
February 17-18th, 2007
Brisbee is really doing well these days, another great trial with Brisbee enjoying himself, staying focused and minimal stress. He had two fabulous standard runs, nailed his weaves both times, no teeter issues, no problems with stays at the start - I never thought I'd see the day where Brisbee was just doing agility! Any sort of bobble or mistake still just takes the wind right out of his sails though, so we've still got be very careful - but all that perserverence is paying off - 6 out of 8 qualifying runs at level 3!

BRISBEE TAKES 1st in JUMPERS!
Qualfies in 5 out of 6 Runs!
CAT USDAA NW CUP - Ridgefield, WA
January 6-7th, 2007
Brisbee's second USDAA trial, and boy did he make a splash ... literally! The fairgrounds were FLOODED and Brisbee, being the delicate princess that he is, was not a happy camper. However, he turned it on when he got on course - Brisbee was little white rocket this weekend - and HAPPY! He was flying around the course, tail wagging, ears up, focused and having a great time. There were still a few signs of stress, but he's like a different dog than a year ago.
Brisbee ended up qualifying in 5 out of 6 runs this weekend, and would have gotten that 6th as well ... except he wanted to FLY across that dogwalk and missed the contact - no complaints! He even did the GAMBLE - I was shocked! Then his Jumpers run was gorgeous, he was so fast and focused, he won the class by like 6 seconds. As Bruce stayed home I was worried about running him, but he did fantastic. Just needs 2 more standard runs for his title - Go Brisbee!
